San Juan College’s Department of Public Safety put out an emergency alert at 6:18 p.m. Saturday, stating that a sexual assault had been reported on campus.
The warning stated that the incident happened late Friday “on or near the walking trails north of Nizhoni Sunrise Suites.”
Farmington Police on Monday identified the suspect and “he was taken into custody on unrelated charges,” said Shanice Gonzales, Farmington Police spokeswoman.
The incident is under investigation, Gonzales said.
