The Sycamore Park Community Center will host a free community health and wellness fair April 18 aimed at promoting active lifestyles and overall well-being.
According to a news release, the fair will include a bicycle obstacle course, fitness demonstrations and informational booths from local health organizations. The event is being held in collaboration with Farmington Area Single Track, a cycling organization in Farmington.
Participants can bring their own bicycles to take part in the obstacle course. Short, introductory exercise classes will also be offered throughout the event.
“Our goal is to make health and fitness accessible and fun for everyone,” said Vonna Victor, recreation program supervisor. “Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for new ways to stay active, there is something here for every member of the family.”
Additional activities include interactive games and exhibits for children and adults, along with resources on local health services and wellness programs.
The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the community center, 1051 Sycamore St., and is open to the public.
