The Farmington Museum is bringing live music back with the return of its free Summer Terrace Concert Series, beginning with a special kick-off event on June 6.
Sponsored by the Farmington Museum Foundation, the family-friendly, alcohol-free series will feature a different artist each week. Performances will be held on the museum terrace every Saturday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. through Aug. 29.
To celebrate the start of the season, the museum will host an expanded kick-off event on June 6 showcasing a variety of musical genres, as well as food and craft vendors. The event will conclude with an extended concert from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring Corey Medina & Brothers, a blues rock band originally from Shiprock.
Following the opening weekend, the series will highlight local and regional talent during its regular Saturday evening time slot.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family, along with lawn chairs and water.
“This will be an amazing family friendly way to kick off the free Summer Terrace Concert series,” said Museum Director Nathan Augustine. “Each following Saturday features a different local band playing in one of the most beautiful settings in Farmington. Come join us.”
