San Juan Regional Medical Center will host a public workshop June 17 to share the results of its 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment and gather input on the area’s top health care priorities, according to a news release.
The Community Heath Needs Assessment is a survey conducted by San Juan Regional Medical Center and San Juan Regional Rehabilitation Hospital to determine the health needs of San Juan County as perceived by the citizens of the county, according to the SJRMC website.
The hospital partnered with the firm PRC to conduct the assessment in February and March. The research includes county-level and census data, as well as local health surveys conducted by phone and online with public informants.
“Our goal is to better understand the health needs of the people we serve and to respond with meaningful action,” said Jason Rounds, SJRMC president and CEO. “We want to ensure that our friends and neighbors get the quality care they deserve right here at home.”
Input from the workshop will help the hospital determine which health needs to address first. Following the event, the medical center plans to create a task force to develop steps to address the prioritized needs.
The event will take place Wednesday June 17 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center.
