A Sunday night rollover crash on South Park Avenue left a brick wall, a sign and a parked truck damaged after the vehicle involved flipped onto its side and slammed into nearby property, according to an Aztec Police report.

Police say the driver, Adonis Olyao, was cited for careless driving after his Hyundai left the road around 8:20 p.m., striking a brick wall, a sign and Aztec resident Gordon Voss’ truck. Conditions were clear and dry, and no alcohol was involved, according to the report provided by Chief Troy Morris. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.

Voss notified Aztec Police that his vehicle had been damaged by a vehicle that had crashed and slammed into his truck, as stated in the report by patrolman Justin Williams.

Williams’ report stated that when he arrived on scene the vehicle was off the road, on the sidewalk and turned over on the driver’s side and “the front of the vehicle pushed through a brick wall a sign and into a vehicle.”

Morris provided the report on Tuesday, which identified the driver as Adonis Olyao, born in 2006, driving a vehicle owned by Thomas Alcon of Blanco.

The report stated that conditions were straight, level and dry – and no alcohol was involved.
