FARMINGTON – The spring prep sports season now has the stage all to itself for the remainder of the school year, with baseball and softball seasons turning towards the second half of respective district campaigns.

The longtime crosstown rivalry of Piedra Vista and Farmington will headline high school baseball and softball games on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Aztec High softball has games this week against Gallup and Kirtland Central as they try and maintain their position tied atop the District 1-4A games.

There are also only a handful of events in both the tennis and track and field seasons before attention turns to district championships and bids for the state finals.
