The annual Macaroni and Cheese Festival, held June 22 at Farmington’s Berg Park, showcased many of San Juan County’s top food and drink vendors while benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of San Juan County.

Held near the banks of the Animas River, the festival gave local chefs the opportunity to put their top mac and cheese recipe to the test, whether with an old-school standby or a new take featuring toppings such as bacon, seafood, herbs and meats.

Live music accompanied visitors as they went from tent to tent to sample beers, wines and foods before casting their vote for their favorite dish.

In the end, however, there could be only one winner, and the crown for best mac and cheese of 2024 went to the team from Toke Dispensary.
