The City of Farmington’s Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for the summer by hosting a seasonal job fair on May 20 to fill vital community and outdoor roles, according to a news release.

Hiring representatives will be on site to discuss a wide array of seasonal opportunities, including positions in aquatics, golf, park operations and recreation.

The event is designed for job seekers looking to gain a role in public service or apply their skills in a professional recreational environment.

Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with department staff about current openings, specific job requirements and career pathways.

For select positions, the department will conduct on-site interviews, allowing qualified candidates to advance in the hiring process immediately.

“As we head into our busiest season, we are focused on building a strong, dependable team to help serve our parks, programs and community spaces,” said Natalie Spruell, director of parks and recreation. “This job fair gives us a chance to meet motivated individuals face-to-face, answer questions, and connect people with meaningful opportunities to grow their skills while serving the community.”

Participants will also be eligible for raffle prizes offered during the event.

The free, public event will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at the Farmington Civic Center, located at 200 W. Arrington.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and come prepared to discuss their experience and availability.
