AZTEC – High-octane action returned this weekend to Kart Kanyon Speedway with a packed slate of feature races, headlined by standout performances from Jason Grady and Spencer Martinez.
Grady proved to be the man of the hour, securing a dual-victory night by capturing checkered flags in both the Adult Super Stock and the highly competitive 600cc Non-Winged Micros.
In the feature, Jason Grady maneuvered from a third-place starting position to seize the lead and the win. Grady fended off a persistent Randy Calcote, who led the field to green but ultimately settled for the runner-up spot. Stacy Cordary rounded out the podium with a solid third-place finish.
Navigating a 16-car field, Grady once again climbed from third to take the victory over Jeff Brumfield III. The race saw significant attrition, with several drivers, including Kasyn Mathews and Bob Harrington, failing to finish a chaotic main event.
The feature provided the comeback story of the night. Spencer Martinez, starting sixth on the grid, sliced through the top five to claim a decisive victory. Martinez bested Howard Cooper and Brendan McLaughlin in the 20-lap sprint. Notably, Ryan Greenwood put on a passing clinic, charging from the final starting spot (13th) to finish a remarkable fifth.
