The Native American Center currently seeking contestants for the 19th annual San Juan College Ms. Indigenous Pageant 2026, which is coming up in September.
Eligible participants must be enrolled as full-time SJC students. Students interested in representing their culture, sharing their talents and serving as ambassadors for the NAC are encouraged to apply.
The SJC Ms. Indigenous Pageant dates back to 2008 and is a vibrant celebration of culture, traditions and ancestral heritage of Native American students and their communities. This cherished event offers contestants a powerful platform to honor displays of traditional artistry, time-honored skills and dynamic contemporary talents. The crowning of Ms. Indigenous is rooted in how she represents and expresses the spirit, values and legacy of Native traditions.
The Pageant will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the Henderson Performance Hall. It is free and open to the public
