The San Juan College Planetarium invites the community to its AstroFriday presentation, “Forward! To the Moon,” on Friday April 24.
This month’s feature is an immersive fulldome video that explores humankind’s return to the Moon. Join Kari Byron of MythBusters and Crash Test World as she guides audiences on a journey beyond Earth toward a sustainable future in space. The film highlights NASA’s Artemis program, which aims to land the first woman and person of color on the Moon.
Showtimes are 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, but seating is limited to 60 people per show and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
After the film, enjoy a traditional live sky show with the star projector, along with photographic updates from the recently completed Artemis II mission. Free spring sky maps will be available while supplies last.
Weather permitting, a public stargaze will follow at 8:30 p.m. in the courtyard behind the Planetarium.
