Aztec Public Library launched its “All Together Now” summer reading program Thursday with a variety of activities, games and visits from community organizations such as Waster Management and city of Aztec police and electric department representatives.

Thursday’s kickoff event provided opportunities for community members to register for the library’s summer reading program. For those who were not able to attend, stop by the library during public hours to register. The program is open to children and teenagers.

The encourage participation in the reading program throughout the summer, the library will also host a variety of events.

Activities for toddlers will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays.

Events for middle school and high school readers will be held on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to noon. Fridays will also feature open gaming days.

Prizes for completing the summer reading program will be awarded at the end of the summer. For more information, visit www.azteclibrary.org.
