FARMINGTON – District titles are up for grabs this week in both high school wrestling meets as well as in swimming and diving competitions.

Girls wrestling regional titles will be handed out this weekend at Rio Rancho, while the Farmington Aquatic Center will host a district championship meet.

Meantime, it’s round two of the storied District 1-4A rivalry on the basketball court at Bronco Arena where Kirtland Central will host Gallup. The Broncos, top-ranked in Class 4A, will be looking to sweep the series after beating the Bengals two weeks ago.

Meantime, three teams enter the week tied atop the standings in District 1-4A boys basketball, with Miyamura, Bloomfield and Gallup all posting identical 3-1 marks within the district. Shiprock, just one game back of that leading trio, will face the Patriots and Bobcats in action this week.
