Each week, the Tri‑City Record highlights a Pet of the Week to keep adoption top of mind – and maybe help someone discover their new best friend. The featured pets rotate between the Aztec and Farmington shelters.

Both shelters offer a wealth of information on their websites, including adoption fees (with any current specials), what to consider before bringing an animal home, shelter hours and more.

Pet of the Week

Diana is a sweet‑tempered little mixed‑breed dog now residing at the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter. Brought to the shelter as a stray, she is about 35 pounds and is estimated to be about 2 years old.

She is gentle, loves people and happily soaks up attention. She is good on a leash and is easy to walk. She also does well with other dogs, making her a good fit for a home with other friendly canines.

This pretty friendly girl has an overall cheerful demeanor and is ready to leave her stray days behind as she looks for a forever home. You can meet her at the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter.

Vaccination clinic

The San Juan Animal League is offering a vaccination clinic at the Farmington Rec Center from 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1. Appointments are required and may be made online at sanjuananimalleague.org. Offered are:

Dog combo: $15 (canine distemper, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus).Bordetella: $15.Cat combo: $15 (feline rhinotracheitis, calici, panleukopenia).One-year rabies: $11.Three-year rabies: $15 (pet 2 years and older).Microchip: $20.
