The Summer Time Family Fest, a free community celebration, will be returning to San Juan College on Saturday, Aug. 29. Hosted by the San Juan College Foundation and Dugan Production Corp., at Graduation Plaza, the festival will feature music, games and food for all ages.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. and will also be raising funds for the San Juan College Food for Thought Program.
The Food for Thought Program addresses food insecurity with students by providing resources, promoting healthy habits and utilizing the Harvest Food Hub & Kitchen found on campus.
Every dollar raised will be matched by the Thomas A. and Mary E. Dugan Foundation.
Activities for the family include face painting, lawn games, sprinkler hill and the opportunity to explore the exhibits at the Sherman Dugan Museum of Geology. There will also be giveaways for children throughout the evening.
Attendees also can grab a free pulled pork sandwich plate while supplies last.
A cornhole tournament will kick off at 3 p.m. with an entry fee of $50 per two-person team. Those interested can register early by contacting Cameron Collier at (505) 6350-2843 or cameron.collier@duganproduction.com.
