A Farmington man died Aug. 8 after being the victim of a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 64.

Orson Bahe, 39, was struck by a silver vehicle, which the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office believes to be either a Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger or Magnum, according to Rebekah Click, public information officer for the SO.

Deputies responded at 2:22 a.m. to the hit-and-run in the area near the intersection of County Road 5267 and U.S. 64, in Lee Acres near Bloomfield.

Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating the vehicle involved.

They say it should have “heavy front-end damage.”

Anyone with information is asked to call San Juan County non-emergency dispatch at (505) 334-6622.

The Tri-City Record on Tuesday made an inspection of Public Records Act request for the case report and will update this story when more information becomes available.
