Get ready to step back into the golden age of American pop-rock. The iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, The Lovin’ Spoonful, is heading to the Farmington Civic Center for a one-night-only performance next Friday, Aug. 14, at 7:30 p.m.
Formed in New York’s bohemian Greenwich Village in 1965, The Lovin’ Spoonful quickly became America’s answer to the British invasion. They exploded onto the music scene with an unprecedented hot streak, sending their first seven consecutive singles soaring straight into the Billboard Top 10.
Today, founding member Steve Boone continues the group’s rich musical legacy alongside dynamic band mates Jeff Alan Ross, Bill Cinque, Rob Bonfiglio and Mike Auturi. Together, they deliver a high-energy performance celebrating the timeless, good-time tunes that defined a generation.
Audiences can look forward to singing-along to unforgettable classic hits like “Do You Believe in Magic,” “Daydream,” and “Summer in the City.”
Whether someone lived through the ’60s folk-rock explosion or is discovering these feel-good classics for the first time, this performance promises an incredible evening of nostalgic, feel-good music right in the heart of Farmington.
Tickets are on sale now. Reserved seating can be purchased online at farmingtonshows.com or in person at the Farmington Civic Center Box Office.
