The community is invited to check out an eclectic mix of art in a wide-range of media on Friday at the Beat the Heat Art Show at Feat of Clay Art Co-op Gallery in Aztec, 222 N. Main.
The show will feature about 35 pieces submitted by local artists. Most of the pieces are two-dimensional art, including paintings in various styles from abstract to impressionism to realism. There will also be some sculptures and multimedia pieces.
The show’s theme is focused on the Rocky Mountains, so many of the pieces also feature natural elements.
The community will have a chance to vote for their favorite to win the People’s Choice award. The top three overall pieces will also be honored.
