FARMINGTON – The brackets have not been formally announced, but game times and locations have been set for the 2026 Connie Mack World Series, which opens Friday across Farmington.
The pool play competition will kick off next week, with the 12 teams divided up into three groups of four teams. A total of six games will be played on Friday with 12 games to be played Saturday. Each team will play a game at Ricketts Park, Worley Field and the Farmington Sports Complex.
Following the conclusion of the pool play games, bracket play opens Sunday with a doubleheader at Ricketts Park.
Five of the 12 teams in the CMWS have been assigned spots in the pools. The defending champion Dulins Dodgers will join the Midland (Ohio) Redskins in Pool B, with last year’s Don Mattingly World Series winners, also representing the Dulins Dodgers, assigned to Pool A.
Pool B starts with a pair of teams assigned, including Dallas-based D-Bat United and the Albuquerque Baseball Academy, which advanced to the CMWS following their win in the championship game of the New Mexico qualifying tournament.
The seven remaining teams not already assigned a pool group will be assigned a spot in during a random draw on Friday morning.
Among the highlight games fans will get to see during pool play weekend will be a showdown between the defending CMWS champion Dulins Dodgers vs. Midland. That matchup will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ricketts Park.
Saturday at noon, the ABA will square off with D-Bat United at the Sports Complex.
All 12 teams will advance to the championship bracket and will be seeded from results of the pool play games.
The only team with a set scheduled start time in bracket play will be the ABA, which will play at Ricketts Park in the final game of a Sunday doubleheader with a scheduled start time of 8:15 p.m.
Monday’s opening round action at Ricketts Park will feature four games, starting at 10 a.m.
