Registration for the Farm Box subscription through the San Juan College Harvest Food Hub & Kitchen is now open with the first boxes available for pick up on June 18.

The SJC Harvest Food Hub, located at 310 West Animas St. in Farmington, is a one-stop marketplace for locally sourced food in San Juan County.

Farm Boxes include a seasonal variety of local produce with six to eight different fresh items and recipes each week. Boxes can be picked up each Thursday, and subscriptions are available for the entire season, weekly, biweekly, or individual months of July, August and September.

The retail market in Downtown Farmington is opening soon, with business hours Wednesday through Friday, 3 -6:30 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beginning June 3.

Starting Tuesday, June 21, online ordering will also be available for one-time or weekly purchases in addition to subscriptions.

“We love being able to serve our community by providing access to local, fresh produce and meats,” said Jacqueline Montoya, Harvest University Center Project manager. “We are committed to offering the freshest locally sourced foods in the most convenient and accessible ways possible.”
