The Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village will kick off its 2026 Music at the Museum concert series on Friday this week with local favorite, Stillwater Band 505.

This Native American band is led by Lee Begay, featuring his sons Elijah Begay on lead guitar and Matthew Begay on drums. James Mecale sometimes fills in with the band. They have been performing in the Four Corners area since 1995, but this will be their first performance at the Aztec museum. The community is invited to come enjoy their live country western and rock & blues music in the Aztec Pioneer Village.

The West gate will open at 6:30 p.m. while the free show is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Concessions will be available, and people are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and to park behind the museum in the municipal lot.

This month’s Movie at the Museum, meanwhile, is scheduled for May 22 and will feature Disney’s “Tangled.” That event is also free.
