Farmington – Applications are now open for local non-profit organizations to apply for the role of event host and recipient of the San Juan County Mayors’ Ball for the 2028-2030 cycle.

The Mayors’ Ball is a premier annual charity event that provides a significant platform for local organizations to raise funds and awareness. The selected recipient (or joint partners) will lead this prestigious event, assuming full responsibility for the planning, organizing and facilitating of the ball. To ensure a seamless transition and continued success, the chosen organization will assist the current charity, Desert View Family Services & Counseling, with the 2027 ball to learn the process firsthand before officially taking over the reins in 2028.

To ensure the continued success and integrity of the event, applicant organizations must meet the following criteria:

Interested organizations must submit a complete application package, including a mission statement, IRS determination letter, New Mexico Certificate of Good Standing, and a proposal narrative (maximum 2 pages) detailing the organization’s history and the planned use of the proceeds.

Deadline: Applications must be received at the Farmington Mayor’s Office (800 Municipal Dr.) no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, June 26.

The selected recipient will be notified in writing by July 31, allowing for a smooth transition and ample preparation time for the 2028 season.
