The Farmington Indian Center is proud to announce a new special event, Spring Mini-Fest, will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
This free, family-friendly gathering invites the public to “Experience the Culture” through a vibrant showcase of Indigenous heritage, art, and community spirit. Mini-Fest will take place at the Farmington Indian Center, 100 W. Elm St.
The day-long celebration will feature live music and performances, Native American dancers, arts and crafts and food vendors.
The performances will begin at 9 a.m. with Little Boy Blue’s Navajo Social Dance.
Next, Mile Post 30’s Inter-Tribal Round Dance will take place at 10:30 a.m. Also performing will be the Ukestine Zuni Dancers at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., the Lightning Boy Hoop Dancers at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., and The Band Broken Arrow at 5:30 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, water and sunblock. Mini Fest is a strictly drug and alcohol-free event.
