The Farmington Police Department is investigating the killing of a 43-year-old man after officers received a report of an unresponsive person at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The Farmington Fire Department Alternative Response Unit responded to a building in the 400 block of East Broadway, where they found a man, who was “suffering from significant injuries,” according to Farmington police spokesperson Shanice Gonzales.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to San Juan Regional Medical Center, where he later died, Gonzales said in a news release.
“This incident is an active and ongoing investigation,” Gonzales said. “No arrests have been made at this time.”
Gonzales said the incident is not connected to the April 14 police-involved pedestrian fatality that occurred in the same area.
Farmington Police investigators ask anyone with information to contact a detective at (505) 599-1068.
