San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Childbirth Center will offer a new class from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 17 that will be geared toward families expecting multiples births.

Seeing Double is a single, 3½-hour course intended to give parents a solid understanding of the special considerations they will face during a pregnancy with two or more babies, and how to cope with two or more newborns at the same time.

The course will cover the basic biology behind having multiples, complications that can be associated with having twins or more, how to stay healthy, prepare for delivery, and breastfeed multiple babies and what parents need to know if babies stay in the NICU before going home.

This class can be taken any time during pregnancy, the earlier the better, and both parents are encouraged to attend.

Register online at www.sanjuanregional.com/CREG/double-061723.

Appointments may also be scheduled for this course by emailing Childbirth Educator Kathy Coleman at kcoleman@sjrmc.net.
