The city of Farington announced that select roadways will be closed or restricted for Freedom Days events July 1 to 4. Detours and barricading will be in place and motorists are advised to avoid these areas at the specified times and seek alternate routes.

Saturday, July 1

The following streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the ice cream social at E3 Children’s Museum and Science Center:

Orchard Avenue from Arrington Street to Apache Street.La Plata Street from Bonnie Dallas Senior Center to Allen Avenue.
Monday, July 3

The following areas will be restricted to allow for the Freedom Days fireworks display. Street closures will start at 7:30 p.m. and will reopen when the display is finished. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:25 p.m.

Northbound left-turn at Pinon Hills Boulevard and Butler Avenue will be closed, with right-turn only allowed. Northbound left-turn at Pinon Hills Boulevard and Education Drive (San Juan College) will be closed, with right-turn only allowed. Southbound through-movement will be closed at Pinon Hills Boulevard and College Boulevard, with only southbound right turn and left turn allowed.Eastbound right turn at Pinon Hills Boulevard and College Boulevard will be closed, with only through and left turn movements allowed. Westbound left turn at Pinon Hills Boulevard and College Boulevard will be closed, with only through and right turn movements allowed. No eastbound left turns at 30th Street and College Boulevard.No westbound right turns at 30th Street and College Boulevard. No eastbound left turns or through movements at College Boulevard and Messina Drive, with right turns only allowed. The following streets will be closed from 3 to 11 p.m. for the outdoor Collin Raye Concert at the Farmington Civic Center.

Behrend Avenue from Arrington Street to La Plata Street.
