The Farmington Police Department released the name of the victim in the Aug. 3 shooting at the Farmington Inn.
FPD spokeswoman Shanice Gonzales said Kevin Cambridge was the man, who was shot in the back, while walking to his vehicle to retrieve a diaper bag.
Cambridge was taken to San Juan Regional Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition, confirmed Laura Werbner, hospital spokeswoman.
Police were called to the Farmington Inn at 5:22 p.m. Aug. 3 in response to the shooting. There reportedly was a group of individuals involved and they fled the scene in a vehicle, which police found abandoned, according to the incident log.
Gonzales said there are no suspects in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
“No arrests have been made,” Gonzales said.
