FARMINGTON – The Bloomfield High School football team highlighted the New Mexico High School Coaches Association All-State selections were released recently, with an outstanding 22 athletes to make the list.

Nine of the 22 Bobcats players earned first team honors emphasized by its offensive line with all five of its members making the roster, led by Johnny Yates, Dean Litsuie and Abraham Santana who made first team.

Four of the five offensive linemen will return for Bloomfield in the 2025 season.

Quarterback Blake Spencer was named to the first team, owning the majority of the spotlight at the position in New Mexico, finishing third in the voting for NM Preps Mr. Football award behind Mason Posa of La Cueva High School, and winner Jordan Hatch from Cleveland High School.

Joining Spencer on the first team roster is running back junior Peyton Duncan who finished the season with 2,514 all-purpose yards and 24 touchdowns.

The story for Bloomfield’s season may have been on the defensive side where it featured four athletes to make the first team in four different categories.

Senior Trae Woods won the honors as a defensive end, Logan Gosnell headlined as an inside linebacker with senior Elias Johnson earning honors as an outside linebacker. Rounding out the selections is senior Eli Meador in the secondary.

Kirtland Central had four athletes make the list while Farmington and Piedra Vista had a combined number of six athletes secure their spots in the All-State selections.
