FARMINGTON – As district action in Class 4A and 5A basketball gets underway this week, the importance for each game is ratcheted up a notch over the next month before the postseason comes along.

Meantime, the prep wrestling, powerlifting and swimming seasons are also in full swing as the winter sports season takes center stage across San Juan County and the entire state of New Mexico.
