FARMINGTON – Round two of the District 1-4A girls basketball rivalry takes place Saturday night when Kirtland Central visits Gallup High School.

Kirtland Central, the top-ranked team in Class 4A, are coming off a 52-38 win last week in front of a sold-out crowd at Bronco Arena over Gallup and appear to be poised for a run at defending their Class 4A state title.

Meantime, regional championships in girls wrestling take place this weekend at Las Vegas High School featuring nearly three dozen teams from across the state, including several from San Juan County.
