Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

With regards to the front page article on Monday’s, April 21, 2025, Tri-City Record, I strongly urge the San Juan College Board of Trustees, their leadership and instructors, to refuse to comply with the Trump administration anti-DEI directives.

I would suggest the State of New Mexico join the other 10 or so states that have refused to comply. Dependent upon the college’s and the state’s position and needs, I would also suggest joining a lawsuit such as that being carried out by Harvard. It’s my understanding that grants, etc., are included in their lawsuit.

Do not cave to this blatant authoritarianism.
